After longer play there are quite a few of rats that survive battles but have low hp like 1-5/20. And because of them the companion inventory is really long.
I think it would be cool to just release them, they do their share of work fot that one fungotato. Let's not be greedy and let them go home, meet their family and relax a little. I mean it's not like they are there as prisoners? Are they?

And maybe some event where low hp rats die of their own? Like "Rat disease" that will do each rat 1-3 damage. This will clear up some space. This would add a little brick to "rat economy" and more meaning to collect this fungotato.

This sounds interesting. And how about a possibility to kill your rat in exchange for a Rat Skin material? Would that work for you? 😏

Well in brutal prison with scarce resources killing "useless companion" for item seems like a quite reasonable thing to do... I think that would work quite well.
